Believe it or not, but before we had Sage accounting software there was a time when firms would supervise their accounting needs using massive, bulky calculators and packed ledger books. Of course, those were the companies that were truly doing it the correct way. You certainly had other companies that kept up with things printed on scraps of paper. Making an attempt to remember back to a time when there were no computers to use for accounting is difficult to do. It seems like there wasn’t any way to manage everything you needed to without some useful pc package such as Sage accounting software.
Thankfully, it wasn’t long before technology individuals in the IT departments realized that companies needed some kind of accounting software to manage the company’s sales numbers and costs.
