ARTIST INSPIRATION:
His work is fairly new to the Community in North Africa ,Europe
and the States since he uses most of his knowledge and background
in sounds to sculpt all his work in music.Others
suggest that I play typical Berber music .But for myself I
am just fascinated by different music and people I meet all over
the world and share with them the inspirations I derive by creating
something new, fresh and independent. I consider myself lucky
since I do not have to restrict myself in creating my work .My artistic
freedom and my broad knowledge of music technology allows me to
push the boundaries of Berber music to another level and all you
have to do is listen to my trax.
THE
MUSIC :
UMALU
grew up listening to the 70s music in Africa and Europe and
this has played a tremendous role in his work .Because of the misrepresentation
of many North African talents in Europe UMALU likes to stick to
his inspirations and vision when it comes to all his projects .Originality,
exploring new territories and top production continue to be his
first priority in shaping his projects .You can sense the many differences
on every song on his two Cds and the instrumental Decadence
goes where no other North African Act has gone before .He continues
to push the boundaries of North African Music to another level .lets
hope he continues.
Visual
presentations with live music are unique in live settings .Each
show is never the same .There is always an interesting element infused
in each.
